Katherine Anne "Kitty" Pryde

Katherine Anne "Kitty" Pryde is a mutant superhero who can phase through solid objects. She first appeared in The Uncanny X-Men #129 in January 1980. She was created by writer-artist John Byrne and writer Chris Claremont. Pryde is the youngest member of the X-Men and was often portrayed as a "kid sister" to the older members of the team. She has used the codenames Sprite, Ariel, and Shadowcat. She eventually abandoned her nickname "Kitty" and switched to "Kate". Pryde is a powerful and versatile superhero. Her phasing ability allows her to become intangible, which makes her immune to physical attacks. She can also use her phasing ability to disrupt electrical fields and simulate levitation. Pryde has been a member of many X-Men teams over the years, including the original X-Men, Excalibur, and the Guardians of the Galaxy. She is one of Marvel's most notable and powerful female heroes.
